I’ve never felt compelled to leave an online review for anything, until today. Been coming to this salon for about 2 1/2 years now, brought my sister here to have her hair styled, and I’ve referred countless friends. That being said, your experience is solely based on your stylist. Got a stylist today who clearly didn’t want to be there. Upon seeing how much hair I have she passed me a comb and told me to help comb my hair! When I politely declined she then decided she wanted to blow dry my hair to make it easier to work with, to which I responded that I didn’t want too much heat put on my hair. Fast forward to while she’s braiding my hair, I pull out a piece of candy to munch on (I’m diabetic), she doesn’t ask me for a piece but instead says “give me one” and puts her hand out. By the time my hair was finished she decided to put several globs of gel over my edges and when I requested a towel so I could wipe part of the gel off, she sucked her teeth and then used a random napkin from her pocket to roughly wipe at my edges. This experience has completely ruined this salon from me, I moved from hyattsville and still remained devoted to going there, but I will now take my business elsewhere.
